The Primrose School of Spring Hill is seeking a motivated individual to both complete the administrative needs of the school and to help assist across 11 early childhood classrooms. The ideal candidate is an individual who is able to multitask as well as prioritize, someone who takes initiative, is energetic, flexible, and extremely organized. This individual should also be a problem solver, and possess great communication skills with students, parents, and staff. This candidate also needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation. The hours for this position are 9:00 - 6:00, Monday-Friday, but He/she must have a flexible schedule when required based on the needs of the school .

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct administrative duties (i.e. filing paperwork and entering information into school management software, creating/maintaining child files, keeping emergency contact information current, maintaining allergy and medication specifications per licensing requirements etc )
  • Provide superior customer service to all customers
  • Assists in ordering school and classroom supplies/inventory
  • Helps manage and assist with classroom needs (i.e. teacher bathroom breaks, child temperature checks, delivering ice packs, etc.)
  • Substitutes in any classroom when lead/assistant teacher is on vacation or out for a period of time
  • Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Employee Handbook
  • Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary
  • Observes all rules and regulations of the TN Department of Education and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children

Desired skills and experience:

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High School Diploma is required; while a CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field is preferred
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience working in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program with children ages 6 weeks - 6 years of age
  • Must meet requirements of local child care regulatory agency and TN Department of Education
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
